Refrigeration systems run with energy in two different cycles, called "absorbtion" and "compression" cycle. A specific liquid substance circulates in a closed circuit and changes its state in different stages.
- Boiler: a mix of water and ammonia is transformed in vapour
- Condensator: vapour circulates under pressure, cools down regaining the liquid state
- Evaporator: the liquid mix expands into gas drawing heat from the environment (= cooling)
- Absorber: gas mixes with the liquid part and cycle restarts.
Technologies producing the requested energy for the different processes in this sector are:
- Monotubolar and standard cartridge heaters
- Band heating elements mica-insulated
